Bosses[edit]

Light World[edit]

Armosknight.png
  • Armos Knights
    • A group of eight Armos Knights are the boss of the Eastern Palace. They attack by jumping around in a set pattern, until all but one are killed. The last one will then turn red and jump around attempting to crush Link. They are especially weak to arrows. The Armos Knights are encountered again in Ganon's Tower.
Lanmola.png
  • Lanmola
    • Three Lanmola act as the boss for the Desert Palace. They emerge from the ground and crawl around the sand for a few seconds before burying their selves back under the sand. Whenever they emerge they shoot out four rocks that damage Link. The head and tail are the only vulnerable spots. Once two of the Lanmolas are gone, the last one will move faster and shoot out eight rocks instead. The Lanmolas are encountered again in Ganon's Tower.
Moldorm.png
  • Moldorm
    • The boss of Tower of Hera is a giant Moldorm, similar to the smaller creatures that appear in the same dungeon. Moldorm is found on the highest floor of the dungeon in an area filled with holes. The large creature takes up a large amount of space, making it difficult to hit its only weak point - the flashing tail. Moldorm is encountered again in Ganon's Tower.
Agahnim.png
  • Agahnim
    • The main villain for most of the game, Agahnim is a boss of both Hyrule Castle revisited and Ganon's Tower. His first iteration fires energy balls that must be deflected by the Master Sword in order to hit him. The second fight with Agahnim is identical, only with two phantom clones that cannot be damaged.

Dark World[edit]

Helmasaurking.png
  • Helmasaur King
    • The boss of the Palace of Darkness is a gigantic Helmasaur guarded by a giant plated head. Unlike normal Helmasaurs, it also possesses a giant snapping tail that it uses to attack, as well as the ability to spit out fire balls. His helmet can only be destroyed using bombs or the hammer, which takes longer. Once demasked, his forehead can be attacked using the sword.
      • In the Four Swords Palace, the Helmasaur King returns now with a green color and is more deadly. This time it calls additional small Helmasaurs to attack and after being unmasked and damaged enough, it will regrow its mask again that also has to be destroyed.
Arrghus.png
  • Arrghus
    • The boss of the Swamp Palace is a large one-eyed jellyfish like creature that is guarded by several small blobs that are used to attack and protect Arrghus. The only way to attack Argghus is to first remove these creatures using the Hookshot and then killing them. Once the blobs are gone, Arrghuss then will jump in the air and attempt to land on Link, while then moving around the screen extremely fast until it is finished off.
      • In the Four Swords Palace, Arrghus returns covered in electric barii. These tiny jellyfish will sometimes generate electricity and damage Link. Otherwise, the attack pattern is the same.
Mothula.png
  • Mothula
    • The boss of the Skull Forest Dungeon is a gigantic moth with a human-like face. Mothula flies over a room on a conveyor belt with several directions in a room surrounded by spikes. The boss will continue to release a barrage of attacks that are difficult to evade. The boss is particularly vulnerable to the Fire Rod (and even more to the Gold Bee).
      • In the Four Swords Palace, Mothula can create copies of itself that makes the battle even more difficult as well as releasing bees of its own. It still has the same weaknesses as before and the goal is to kill the real Mothula.
Blind.png
  • Blind the Thief
    • The boss of the Thieves' Town Dungeon is a former thief who became a monster that can impersonate other people. After masquerading as one of the seven Maidens, Blind revealed his true form and began the attack. He fired frequent balls of fire and only his head is vulnerable. After losing his head, however, he'll grow up to two new heads; while the old heads continue attacking until Blind is defeated.
      • In the Four Swords Palace, Blind impersonates Link's uncle and he now has a blue head. This time he can shoot laser beams in addition to fire balls. To defeat him, his extra heads must be deflected back into his body to deal his final demise.
Kholdstare.png
  • Kholdstare
    • The boss of the Frozen Lake Dungeon is a giant eyeball encased in ice. The icy prison provides the eye protection, but still allows it to attack by dropping snowballs from the ceiling. Once the ice melts (using the Fire Rod), it will separate into three eyes that glide around the screen while snow continues to fall. However it has no other attacks and once the three eyes are gone, Kholdstare is no more.
Vitreous.png
  • Vitreous
    • The boss of the Misery Mire Dungeon is a collection of tiny eyeballs and one giant eyeball encased in goo. It will use these eyes to attack Link, even though the eyes are easily defeated. It can also unleash a powerful lightning strike that takes up most of the screen. Once the tiny eyes are defeated, Vitreous will emerge from the goo and try to hit Link itself. Like Kholdstare however, it gains no new attacks besides using the electric attack again.
Trinexx.png
  • Trinexx
    • The boss of Turtle Rock is a giant turtle-like dragon with three heads. The right head is blue and breathes ice, the left head is red and breathes fire, and the middle head is the largest and can expand to snap at Link. The middle head is invulnerable, but the right and left heads are vulnerable to sword strikes or elemental attacks of the opposite type. Once the two outside heads, the rocky shell will crumble away to reveal Trinexx to be a snake like creature that will roam around the screen. At that point its only weakpoint is its middle torso that blinks.
Ganon.png
  • Ganon
    • The mastermind behind Agahnim appears after the wizard's defeat. Ganon fight has several stages where Link must first attack Ganon while avoiding the trident flying through the air. In the second stage, he begins to add fire to his attack that makes him harder to hit. As the fight progresses he'll make the edges of the room disappear, so that if Link falls off he has to start the fight over. He will then begin teleporting around until at last he causes the lights in the room to go out. At that point Link has to light all the torches and then fire silver arrows while Ganon is temporarily blinded. After four Silver Arrows, Ganon is no more.
Linkclones.png
  • Dark Links (GBA Only)
    • The final bosses of the Four Swords Palace are dark versions of Links that fight very similarly to Link himself. This battle consists of Link fighting four versions of himself, each one harder than the previous one. Besides Link's own techniques like the Dash Attack and Spin Attack, they also can use the Downthrust and the Whirling Blade. Link has to defeat them at one time to finally beat the game.
