Krokorok is a bipedal crocodile-like Pokémon introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the middle form of Sandile's evolutionary cycle and evolves into Krookodile.

Information[edit]

A Sandile evolves into Krokorok at Level 29. They typically live in groups composed of a few individuals. A Krokorok has a special protective membrane around its eyes which shields its eyes from sandstorms. The membrane also can sense the heat around it, while allows Krokorok to see even in darkness.

Krokorok evolves into Krookodile at Level 40.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, they commonly appear in the lower levels of Relic Castle.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Krokorok was found at the desert area of the Rugged Flats. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Krokorok inhabits the Cove Area and works with Sandile. Under Gothita's influence, it and Sandile lured Pokémon into the Wish Park, but they were eventually found out by Pikachu and then could be befriended through battle within Cove Town.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, the sunglasses-wearing Sandile which had started following Ash around eventually evolved into a Krokorok during a battle with Ash's Pikachu. Despite the freshly evolved Krokorok's advantage, Pikachu won. Krokorok reappeared after an absence with a revealing of its offscreen exploits during Ash's journey, and after allowing itself to be used by Ash and a child named Nick, the Krokorok agreed to join Ash's group. Prior to the Krokorok joining Ash, a Krokorok was featured as one of Clay's Pokémon in a gym battle, where it battled Ash's Oshawott and lost.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Krokorok was shown during the Black/White arc as one of Clay's Pokémon.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name seems to be a play on a combination between "crocodile" and "rock" (possibly as in "rock and roll" due to its sunglasses-like membrane).
