Gothita is a dark, bow-wearing baby Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first in a three-step evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Gothorita and Gothitelle.

Information[edit]

Gothita has what appears to be two bows on their heads which actually act as feelers and increase their psychic powers. They are known for always staring at something, usually Pokémon trainers or other Pokémon. It is said that Gothita are always looking at something that only they can see.

It evolves into Gothorita at Level 32.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black Version, Gothita uncommonly appeared on Routes 5 and 16.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Gothita was found at the tower areas of Challenger's Ground and Frozen Tundra. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, it had gone to the Wish Park with its evolved forms and helped to serve Darkrai. Gothita could not remember her earlier life and idolized Gothitelle, but she could be befriended through a battle at the Wish Castle following the defeat of Reshiram and Zekrom.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, a Gothita was first featured belonging to a trainer named Christie who used it to look for her missing Audino. In another episode, a trainer had a Gothita who developed a crush on Ash's Scraggy but acted aggressive and manipulative. She tried to run away with the Scraggy and wound up fighting with it, and she also quarreled with Ash's Snivy. Other Gothita have appeared in minor or cameo roles.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a truncation of "gothic lolita", the popular Japanese fashion style which inspired this Pokémon and its evolutionary line.
