Other Appearances[edit]

Video Games[edit]

  • In the Wii U version of Monster Hunter Frontier G, an armor set based on Chrom's outfit was made available and known as the Hero King Male Hunter armor, along with female armor based on Lucina's outfit.
  • Chrom and Lucina appeared together as a playable characters in the crossover action/strategy game Project X Zone 2.
  • In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, an amnesiac Chrom was featured as the Mirage partner of the protagonist, Itsuki Aoi, and he could transform into a sword to be wielded by Aoi in battle.
  • Chrom was one of the playable fighters featured in Fire Emblem Warriors.
  • He was featured in one of 5-Volt's microgames in WarioWare Gold.

Super Smash Bros.[edit]

In the Super Smash Bros. series, Chrom made several non-playable appearances in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U (where the other two protagonists of Awakening, Robin and Lucina, were playable) before being added as a playable fighter in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. As a fighter in Ultimate, Chrom was an Echo Fighter of Roy who used mostly sword attacks, and he also had Ike's Aether attack. Chrom featured some tweaks to Roy's abilities that make him a more balanced and effective fighter overall.

In the 3DS/Wii U game, Chrom would appear to team up with Robin for Robin's Final Smash, Pair Up, which involved both of them unleashing a series of attacks upon one or multiple opponents. He would also sometimes appear with Robin on their victory screens, and he had a voiced appearance where he interjected into the Palutena's Guidance conversation about Robin. A Chrom wig and outfit was also available as a costume for Mii Swordfighters. Prior to the game's release, Chrom was also featured in a trailer used to announce Lucina and Robin's presence in the game. In the trailer, the two fighters defended a fallen Chrom from Captain Falcon. At the end of the trailer, Chrom remarked that he would get his chance another day, which was used to segue into the announcement of his presence in Robin's Final Smash, but also unintentionally foreshadowed his eventual playable appearance. Despite being made into a playable character, Chrom's appearances in Robin's Final Smash and victory screen as well as the Mii Fighter equipment were all retained in Ultimate.

In Ultimate, he had to be unlocked through the game's variable-based system for unlocking fighters, or by recruiting him in Adventure Mode (where he was found in a closed-off part of the Lost Woods area of the Dark Realm's Sacred Land area, accessed by traveling through an opened treasure chest). His Classic Mode route in the game was "Fight as One", where he initially fought against Lucina and went on to team up with Lucina or Robin in each battle against other paired fighters, in reference to the Pair Up system, with the boss of the route being Master Hand and Crazy Hand.

Chrom has also been represented by a trophy in the 3DS/Wii U game and a Fighter Spirit in Ultimate.

Trivia[edit]

  • According to Tiki, Chrom resembles an ancestor of Marth's (from a thousand years before Marth's time) more than he does Marth himself.
