Debut Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Versions

Cheryl is a Pokémon trainer appearing in the fourth generation games as a temporary double battle partner.

Background

Cheryl was a polite young trainer whom Lucas/Dawn meets in the Eterna Forest. She accompanies them through the forest due to fear of Team Galactic attacks and heals the player's Pokémon after each battle in exchange. She would later appear in the Battle Zone, where Lucas/Dawn could choose her as a partner for Double Battles in the Battle Tower. In Platinum, she would also appear at the Battleground cafe on random days following completion of the Stark Mountain sidequest, where she could be challenged to a battle. She was also available as a Battle Tower partner at Johto's Battle Frontier in HeartGold and SoulSilver.
