Nealuchi is a supporting character in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance as well as a playable unit in the sequel, Radiant Dawn. He was the oldest living raven laguz.

Background[edit]

Nealuchi was an aged chamberlain serving Naesala, the king of Kilvas. He was friendly and nostalgic as well as wise. He had known Naesala since the raven king was young, which leads him to often think of Naesala as young and refer to him as "Nestling", a name that has greatly annoyed Naesala. He was also fond of the herons when Naesala took care of them in their youth, particularly growing fond of Leanne. Despite his job as an adviser of Naesala, Nealuchi's advice was often ignored by the raven king.

In Path of Radiance, Nealuchi was first seen in "Chapter 13: Winds of Change", where he attempted to chastise Naesala. He later welcomed the heron prince Reyson to Kilvas Keep in "Chapter 15: The Feral Frontier" and reminisced about the past and the tragedy of the Serenes Massacre until Naesala dismissed him. He was later sent to Phoenicis Hall in order to get Tibarn to aid in searching for Reyson, whom had gone missing after Naesala tried selling him to the laguz slaver Oliver. The hawks then got angry at both Naesala and Nealuchi while Nealuchi begged them to help Reyson, and they eventually left to do so. Nealuchi later aided Naesala in the rescue of Leanne in "Chapter 28: Twisted Tower", and was overjoyed to see that she was still alive.

He also attempted to give advice to Naesala in the info conversation for "Endgame: Repatriation", asking Naesala to be less antisocial join in on conversation with the others or Reyson might think Naesala had betrayed them again. Nealuchi reminded him that he would break Leanne's heart if he fled from the battle, likely giving Naesala extra incentive to aid Crimea in the final battle.

Three years later, Nealuchi had gained a secondary role as Leanne's guardian. He escorted her to Crimea where she hoped to meet with the Greil Mercenaries in "Part 2: Of Countries and Kings". However, Begnion dracoknights ambushed them in Crimean airspace in an attempt to capture Leanne and sell her as a slave in "Prologue: Under Gray Skies". Luckily, Queen Elincia and Marcia arrived to help them fight off the Begnion troops. Afterwards, the two laguz were welcomed to Crimea Castle as guests of the queen. They then accompanied Lucia in her trip to Lord Ludveck's manor in "Chapter 2: Tides of Intrigue" and aided in the ensuing battle. Nealuchi also helped in defending Fort Alpea from the Crimean rebels in "Endgame: Elincia's Gambit", and both he and Leanne refused Elincia's asking them to retreat.

Nealuchi reappeared in "Part 4: Of Gods and Men", when he could be assigned to any of the three armies. If he traveled with the Silver Army, then in "Prologue: Chaos Named", he and Leanne attempted to protect Naesala when Skrimir wanted to fight him, telling Skrimir that he'd have to go through them to kill Naesala. This led Naesala and Skrimir to call off their fight.

After the war ended, Nealuchi worked hard to restore the raven tribe's reputation despite his age, setting new age records each year.
