Background

Orange Star's newest CO started off a little green, but proved himself a capable CO. After some time learning under Rachel, he started fighting against Black Hole, who were being active in Omega Land. Despite his abilities, he remained unsure of his abilities and was willing to let other COs take the battles. He also had a tedency to get a little over-excited after victories.

He also developed a friendship with Hawke after he started helping the Allied Nations. Jake even brought Hawke back into the party after they shattered the first Obelisk. When at last Von Bolt was defeated, it was up to Jake to kill Von Bolt. If he decided to do it, he would spare Von Bolt and force him to live (without his life support). If he decided not to, Hawke intervened and kill him anyways. After everything, he and Sasha met up on hill where he vowed never to let anyone destroy his land again.

Gameplay

In Advance Wars DS, Jake replaces Andy as one of the main COs for Orange Star. Although a generally balanced unit, he gets a 10% bonus to any units (ground or air) on plains terrain.

• Beat Down - Jake's regular CO Power, gives a 20% boost for all units on plains (plus the initial 10%) and +1 on indirect units.
• Block Rock - Jake's Super CO Power, gives a 40% boost for all units on plains (plus the initial 10%), +1 on indirect units, and +2 on movement

• In the game, Jake is often used as a source for humor in quoting popular internet memes.
