Information

Porygon are the first artificial Pokémon created, the product of years of research and advanced technologies. Scientists anticipate being able to use it to explore outer space. It does have the ability to travel into cyber space and survive in virtually any environment, since it's just a program with a physical form. Porygon are not capable of anything that isn't programmed into its code. It is also copy-protected to prevent it from being duplicated when in program form. Porygon also has a neutral gender, but can reproduce when paired with a Ditto.

Porygon are rather expensive; a single Porygon costs between 5555 and 9999 coins. In game the only trainers who own Porygon are Rocket Scientists. They can only be obtained at the Rocket Game Corner for that matter. For these reasons, it is suspected that the Team Rocket organization funded the research that created Porygon.

Porygon evolves into Porygon2 when traded with an Upgrade attached.
