Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move is the fifth installment of the Mario vs. Donkey Kong subseries and the first part of the series for the Nintendo 3DS. This game did not receive a physical release and was only available for download through the 3DS's eShop.

Story[edit]

The Mario Toy Company has decided to host a Mini Toy Carnival this year after their recent success. Donkey Kong and Pauline have decided to work together to run a game arcade inside the carnival.

Gameplay[edit]

As with previous games, the game's core goal is to guide Mini-Mario toys safely through levels and to exits. However, this installment alters the gameplay, as it features a three-dimensional view, and the gameplay involves placing blocks on a grid for a Mini-Mario toy to walk upon.

The game also features a custom level builder.

Legacy[edit]

Sequels[edit]

It was followed by Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Tipping Stars, which was released for download on both the 3DS and Wii U in 2016.
