Donkey Konga 2 is the sequel to Donkey Konga and is the last Donkey Konga game to be released outside of Japan. It is most notable as the first game to feature Dixie Kong since Donkey Kong Land III.

Story[edit]

Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong have begun bickering amongst each other after working together playing bongo drums. However, Dixie Kong arrives and breaks up the argument. They discover Dixie has some talent with the drums, so they decide to go on tour together.

Gameplay[edit]

There are no real gameplay changes from the previous game, with the main difference being a new set of songs and the inclusion of Dixie Kong. The game is also notable for having a T rating, especially since the previous game seemed to be child-oriented.

Legacy[edit]

Sequels[edit]

The game was followed by Donkey Konga 3, the last Donkey Konga game to date. Donkey Konga 3 was only released in Japan.
