Thany is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi. She is part of a band of mercenaries.

Background[edit]

The youngest of three sisters, Thany was a part of the Knightdom of Ilia which regularly sends out their trainees to become mercenaries in order to gain worldly experiences. Growing up she was looked after by her older sisters Thito, but mainly by Yuno. She joined up with a mercenary band led by Dieck. It wasn't a large group and the only other members were Ward and Lott. This meant she was separated from her sisters while Yuno was getting married to Zealot and Thito was finding her own work.

Prior to the outbreak of the war with Bern, Dieck's mercenaries was hired by Lord Eliwood to provide support for his son, Roy who was joining the Lycia Alliance. Dieck and his band found Roy already engaged in a battle with Lord Rude, prompting the band of mercenaries to go ahead and provide their aid. Later in the war she would be reunited with Thito. If Roy takes the Ilia path, she is also able to reunite herself with Yuno as well.

Possible Fates[edit]

Thany has two different endings depending on whether she reaches A Support with Roy or not.

  • Default Ending- Following the war Thany is knighted. Through her career she served as a lieutenant and eventually rose to the position of Flightleader of Ilia.
  • Roy and Thany's Ending- Thany gave up the path of the Pegasus Knight and married Roy in Pherae. Together they worked to rebuild the war torn land.

Support Conversation Summaries[edit]

Dieck is capable of having support conversations with six other characters.

  • Roy- In their first conversation, Roy gets advice from Thany about how to stay upbeat and not worry so much, but she replies to just eat well, sleep well, and laugh well. In their second conversation Roy asks Thany about her training and if her training is a hindrance, which she denies saying its great experience. In their final conversation, Roy invited Thany to come to Pherae after the war. After Roy leaves, Thany begins to wonder what the implications of being invited actually are.
  • Dieck- Thany starts by calling Dieck "Captain", but he insists on her doing otherwise. She tries to call him "Bro" like Lott and Ward, but he again insists on just Dieck. In the next conversation, Dieck comments that Thany fights on her own and she should set her pace with the others to ensure victory. In the final conversation Thany states she's been following his advice, but Dieck then says that she shouldn't rely on them too much and that a mercenary can't rely on others. However she says that she knows she can rely on him and that Lott and Dieck do too.
  • Ward- The two get in a fight about how it's annoying to have to fight around the other. Ward gets angry and tries to attack Thany, but she just flies off. In their second conversation, Ward saves Thany from a enemy archer and calls her an idiot for relaxing. Thany dismisses his help and says she could've handled it, prompting Ward to wish her luck and leave. As he leaves, she feels bad for not thanking him properly. In the final conversation the two patch things up and Thany realizes Ward cares about her well-being, although he doesn't say it outright.
  • Lott- Their first conversation has Lott warning Thany about putting herself in danger , but she says he worries too much. He then notes that you can never be too cautious in battle. In the next conversation Thany asks why Lott worries so much about her. He tells her he has a younger sister at home and that being on the battlefield makes him worry for her. In the final conversation, Thany has some advice for Ward. She then gets close to him and tells him "don't stress yourself too much, big brother" and says the message was from his little sister.
  • Thito- Thany greets her sister loudly, much to Thito's annoyance. Thito tells her its dangerous to yell like that and then notices Thany has no reins. Thany replies it's more fun to fly without the extra gear and takes off. In the next conversation Thito becomes annoyed with Thany and the two end up fighting, prompting Thito to leave and tell Thany she can look our for herself. In the final conversation the two apologize and Thany manages to coerce Thito into admitting she loves her little sister.
  • Yuno- The two sisters meet and Thany begins bragging about her exploits with Roy, saying that it's as if she defeated all the enemies herself. In the next conversation, Thany is asking Yuna to show her how to ride her pegasus better and to try and practice the Triangle Attack, but Yuna tells her Thany can stick around her more when the war is over. In the final conversation, Yuna reveals the Thany that she's had a baby with Zealot. She explains that the baby is in the care of nannies and Thany will be able to see her after the war. Afterwards Thany is amazed to be an aunt, but comments that she's so young to be an aunt.
  • Zealot- The two greet eachother and Thany realizes she should start calling him brother since Yuno married him. He tells her she can call him as she wishes, so she starts asking about how he and Yuno met. In the next conversation Zealot explains that he met her in Etruria where they were actually enemies. They tried to solve things peacefully and the two ended up in love. She tries to press him for more, but he doesn't give up anymore. In the last conversation, Thany says she's glad Zealot is a good man. When Zealot asks her if she is interested in anyone, she replies that family members have to keep some secrets.
