Donkey Kong Land 2 is the sequel to the original Donkey Kong Land, which was made as a companion to Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.
Story[edit]
Donkey Kong has been kidnapped by K. Rool and taken to Crocodile Island. Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong team up and travel to Crocodile Island on a rescue mission.
Gameplay[edit]
Donkey Kong Land 2 acts as a Game Boy version of Donkey Kong Country 2 in multiple senses, featuring identical gameplay, the same story and the same worlds with some exceptions. Due to the Game Boy's limitations, Diddy and Dixie cannot use their new partnering attacks. All the levels have different designs from the Super NES game, and two of the worlds (Crocodile Cauldron and Krem Quay) have been combined into one with one boss character being left out. Some boss battles and other gameplay elements have also been adjusted to accommodate the Game Boy's limitations.
