Von Kaiser is an opponent boxer appearing in the Punch-Out!! games.
Background[edit]
Von Kaiser hailed from Berlin, Germany. All that is known of his background is that he was formerly a boxing teacher at a military academy. He was a harsh disciplinarian. He first appeared in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!, where he was rank #1 fighter in the World Video Boxing Association's Minor Circuit, and was defeated by Little Mac.
In Punch-Out!! Wii, Von Kaiser was ranked #2 in the Minor Circuit and fell again to Little Mac. In the accompanying slideshow, he appeared to have been traumatized when a group of children beat him upon during a class. Apparently due to this trauma, there is a point where he will randomly call out for his mommy, at which point he can be struck to earn a star point. Enraged by his defeat, Von Kaiser shaves his head into a miliary buzzcut, then returns as the second opponent in Title Defense mode. He utilizes new charging attacks and faking out in this rematch.

Video Games[edit]
- In the Super Smash Bros. series, he has been represented as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and as a Novice-rank Primary Spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (using his art from the Wii Game). His Spirit came with the added effect of strengthening fist attacks. When fought in a Spirit battle, Von Kaiser's Spirit would possess Mario and give him strengthened fist and elbow strikes for a stamina battle in which he focused on Mario's smash side attacks.

- In the NES game, he is a palette swap of Great Tiger.
- In the Wii game, he speaks primarily in German, and he introduces himself as a "Kampfmachine" ("battle machine").
