Samurott is an armored aquatic Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the third and final form of Oshawott's evolutionary line.

Information[edit]

Samurott evolves from Dewott at Level 36. In this form, it becomes quadrupedal with a webbed tail as well as armor on its head and legs. Part of the armor on its anterior legs can be used as a giant sword, one swing of which can fell an opponent. Samurrot's cry can intimidate most enemies, and its glare silences everyone nearby.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

Samurott can only be obtained through evolution.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Samurott appears as a boss for the beach area of World Axle on its first basement floor. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, it acted as the Area Keeper for the Cove Area and resided at Seasong Beach. The Samurott is met in the first portion of the game and assigns Oshawott to accompany Pikachu. It could be befriended only after the game's completion by defeating it in a battle.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, Samurott was first shown in both versions of the fourteenth movie, where it was used by a trainer in a tournament and had the upper hand against Ash's Tepig until the Tepig won due to the help of a Victini.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a combination of "samurai" (referring to the samurai influence on this Pokémon which is more notably present in Dewott) with "otter".
