Litwick is a candle-like ghost Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first in a three-step evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Lampent and Chandelure.

Information[edit]

Litwick resembles a candle and shines a light which actually absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns. They usually shine their lights and pretend to be guides in order to lure in those whose life energy they can leech from.

It evolves into Lampent at Level 41.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, they are commonly found at Celestial Tower.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, one episode of the Unova series featured a group of Litwick that were lead by a Lampent which tried to terrorize Ash's group as well as Team Rocket in a haunted mansion.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a simple combination of "lit" and "wick" (a term used for a burned candle).
