Kricketot is a small musical insect Pokémon that was introduced in the fourth generation games. Its evolved form is Kricketune.

Information[edit]

Kricketot has short legs and a pair of stiff antenna which make xylophone-like sounds when they collide together. It usually makes this happen by shaking its head back and forth. The sounds act as fall hallmarks, and they communicate with each other using these sounds. Its antennae also clang together whenever it stumbles over.

It evolves into Kricketune at Level 10.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, Kricketot could be uncommonly found at Routes 201 (Platinum only), 202, 202, 203, 204, 205 (Platinum only), 206 (Diamond/Pearl only) and 207, and in Platinum it was also found at Eterna Forest. It only appeared in the morning and at night, and at Route 206 it was only found in the morning. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, it could appear at Viridian Forest during swarms and was uncommonly found at the National Park during the Bug-Catching Contest on Thursdays and Saturdays after the National Pokédex was unlocked. Kricketot could also be caught at the Pokéwalker's Sinnoh Field course, from which it could be transferred to HeartGold/SoulSilver.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, Kricketot could be recruited at Mystifying Forest. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia, it was found at the Partner Farm. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, it appeared at Teakwood Forest and the Forest Temple. Kricketot also appeared in Pokémon Rumble at the Silent Forest.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, Kricketot made various primarily minor appearances during the Sinnoh series. Its most prominent appearance was when a trainer named Nando used one at the Sinnoh Grand Festival.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, one chapter of the Diamond/Pearl arc featured a swarm of Kricketot and Kricketune that attacked Platina when she wandered into a cave at the Oreburgh Mines. Her Piplup was surprisingly able to defeat most of them. It was later shown that the cave was specially used for training, and that the Kricketot and Kricketune had confused Platina for their latest sparring partner.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is simply a play on a combination of "cricket" with "tot" (due to it being young and small).
