Hydreigon is a three-headed floating dragon-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the third and ultimate form in Deino's evolutionary line.

Information[edit]

Hydreigon evolves from Zweilous at level 64. It is a brutal Pokémon that gains six wings and an extra head from its evolution. Hydreigon frequently uses its wings to travel through the skies. Hydreigon's two extra heads do not contain brains and act as arms. It is uncertain whether the two Zweilous brains merged together into Hydreigon's brain or were otherwise disposed of during the evolution. Hydreigon interprets anything that moves as a foe and will attack it. It uses all three heads to consume and destroy everything.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

Hydreigon has not been found in the wild and can only be obtained by evolving a Zweilous.

Other Appearances[edit]

Video Games[edit]

  • In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Hydreigon has made a cameo appearance in the background of the Kalos Pokémon League stage's Dragonmark Chamber. It has also been represented by a trophy in the Wii U game and an Advanced-rank Primary Spirit in Ultimate. When fought against in a Spirit battle, Hydreigon's Spirit would possess Charizard and would receive an attack boost during the battle.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a combination of "hydra" (a multi-headed snake monster from Greek mythology) and "drei" (which is German for three due to it being the third form and German numbers being a theme in this line's naming) with "dragon".
