The Hairy Bulborb is a variant of the Bulborb species with long, thin hairs on its back.

Information[edit]

This rare member of the Grub-Dog family is primarily found underground, where it spends most of it's time asleep. Although this species has spots like others in the family, these are obscured by the unusual hair folicles on its back. This rare variation of the Grub-Dog family is odd, but makes it well suited for the cold areas it inhabits by warming its internal organs. Combined with its white body, this creature is well adapted for arctic survival. Unfortunately for the creature, the hair is extremely frail, which can cause immediate hair loss if the creature is startled. Similar to other greater Grub-Dogs like the Red and Orange variations, it is a mostly nocturnal creature. Thanks to it's large mandibles, it is well suited to defend itself from most wildlife, giving it the freedom to find any resting place during daylight hours. Primarily a predator, the creature feeds on smaller creatures with little distinction, though usually to those busy returning to their nests. Contrary to common belief, the Snow Bulborb is in fact not their offspring but a completely different species of Grub-Dog.

Like most in their species, they are bumbling creatures that use their incredibly large mouths as their primary offensive. Engagements with these creatures head on are often met with disaster, as they will attempt to eat or bite their enemies. A rear assault, especially when they are sleeping, are the most effective. Thanks to their rather slow reaction, they will typically be killed before they even have the chance to fight back. When enemies attack their upper body, behind the eyes, they are their most defenseless. In such scenarios, they will shake the offendors from their bulk.
