Gordin is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi as well as its remakes Monshou no Nazo and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He is the first playable Archer appearing in the game (as well as in the series as a whole).

Background[edit]

Book One[edit]

Gordin was the youngest of Altean knights who aspired to become a sniper. However, his skills were somehwat amateur. In Shadow Dragon's prologue, he was captured by Gra soldiers, who sent him out gagged and dressed in a Gra soldier's uniform after interogating him in hopes that the Altean knights would confuse him with a Gra soldier and kill him in the fourth part of the prologue. However if Marth spoke to Gordin, he would recognize and ungag him, and welcome him back into their ranks. Gordin then fought alongside his fellow Altean knights for the remainder of the war.

After the war ended, he left to Archenea to train under the professional bow knight Jeorge, later returning to the Altean knights with his younger brother Ryan.

Book Two[edit]

Three years later, Gordin was a more skilled archer due to Jeorge's help. He once more joined with Marth's forces in the War of Heroes, and he could also recruit his old mentor Jeorge in one chapter. After the war ended, he left the Altean knights to move to Pales, where he joined Archanea's free knights.

Other Appearances[edit]

  • He appears in both episodes of the Fire Emblem OVa, where he was depicted with a somewhat mischievous personality and a bit of a friendly rivalry with Draug.

Trivia[edit]

  • In Monshou no Nazo he receives Support Bonuses from Ryan, and in Shadow Dragon, he receives Support Bonuses from Marth, Draug and Norne.
