Debut Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi

Draug is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi as well as its remakes Monshou no Nazo and Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. He is the first playable Knight appearing in the game (as well as in the series as a whole)

Background[edit]

Book One[edit]

Draug was a strong knight who helped to provide brawn to the Altean forces. Within Shadow Dragon, he was first seen at the end of the prologue when he had prepared a ship for Marth and his men to escape in during Gra's invasion of Altea, and if Marth had lost a certain amount of men Draug would have brought in the new recruit Norne to compensate. Afterwards, he was automatically playable at the beginning of the first chapter and played a role in Marth's campaign during the War of Darkness. After the war ended, he established an outland garrison.

Book Two[edit]

Three years later, he went into action again as part of Marth's army throughout his entire campaign in the War of Heroes. At the end of the war, Marth appointed him leader of the Grust occupational army.

Other Appearances[edit]

Video Games[edit]

  • In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Draug appears as a Novice-rank Primary Spirit who comes with the bonus of raising the player fighter's weight. When fought in a Spirit battle, Draug possesses King K. Rool with super armor and periods of boosted defense for a stamina battle.

Other Media[edit]

  • Draug (originally translated as Doga) appeared in both episodes of the Fire Emblem OVA, where he seemed to have some sort of friendly rivalry with Gordin.

Trivia[edit]

  • In Shadow Dragon, he has Support Bonuses with Marth, Gordin and Norne.
