Trade & Battle: Card Hero is a trading card game-based video game that was released for the Game Boy Color only in Japan.

Story[edit]

In Card Hero, a card name called "Card Hero" is the latest craze. The player controls a boy name Hiro in elementary school who is just learning to play "Card Hero". As the game progress, Hiro competes for medals and eventually defeats some bad guys for control of the town. Hiro's goal is to win a card battle against the champion, Masaru Kado (as seen on the front cover of the game's box art).

Gameplay[edit]

The game has two modes. In Story Mode, the player follows the story of the school boy on the road to being a champion. In Ladder Mode, the player competes in order to get new cards.

In the card games, the main objective is to defeat your opponent's Master card. The player can attack their opponent's Master card with their Monster cards. They are allowed to have four Monster cards in play at a time.
