Thoreau is one of the partners in Super Paper Mario whose name is derived from the word "throw". It is the outline of a square with a pair of eyes and five circles hovering above its upper half. With Thoreau's help, Mario and co. can pick up enemies and throw them around, similar to the playstyle in Super Mario Bros. 2. It is implied that there may be several Thoreau Pixls instead of a unique one.
