Scrafty is a thuggish fighting Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the evolved form of Scraggy.

Information

Scrafty evolves from Scraggy at Level 39. They live in groups and beat up anyone who enters their territory. The Scrafty with the biggest crest is the group leader. They can spit acidic liquids from their mouths and are also capable of smashing concrete blocks with their kicking attacks. Like Scraggy, Scrafty has loose skin resembling baggy pants that it presumably also can stretch up and use to absorb attacks.

Appearances

Mainstream Games

Scrafty has not been found in the wild and can only be obtained by evolving Scraggy.

Other Appearances

Other Media

  • One chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga featured a Scrafty and a Scraggy who stole the accordion of a musician who was going to be featured on television after they noted the accordion's resemblance to their loose skin. Black found out and pursued them; they were able to use their loose skin to block Tepig's fireballs but ultimately got caught in the web of his Galvantula.

Trivia

  • Its name is a combination of "scraggy" or "scrappy" with "crafty". Scraggy and Scrafty were bot designed to resemble stereotypes of American youths who wear baggy pants.
