Link is the hero of the Legend of Zelda series and among one of Nintendo's most popular mascots. Despite not being the titular character, Link is the only character to have appeared in every single Zelda game. He has also appeared in a number of other games, such as Super Smash Bros. and Soul Caliber 2 as a playable combatant.

Unlike other popular Nintendo heroes, each appearance of Link is not always the same person as in previous games. He is also often affiliated with the Triforce of Courage and the goddess, Farore. In most appearances, Link is armed with his signature weapon, the Master Sword.
