Ah, I am sorry for any damage to the wiki I have caused. This wiki needs a lot of help, and I was trying to help out. You guys should create your css and js monobooks first. You can also add a site notice at the top by editing MediaWiki:Sitenotice.--Knife 17:45, 10 March 2007 (MST)

Ah, well no damage was done. I was just curious as to what you were doing. I have the default css established for all the templates, but hadn't done anything to the Monobook css, except for what is kept in the actual server version. To be honest it had not occurred to me to set up a Wiki version to be editted.
As for the site notice, thanks for pointing out how that works. I'll keep that in mind once I figure out something to use it for.Masamune 19:27, 10 March 2007 (MST)

Front Page[edit]

First of all, I like your new front page. Well done, Masamune.

Anyway, I noticed in the First Party section, you have Intelligent Systems there twice. I'd recommend replacing one of them with EAD Tokyo, since that's the only active first party developer I can think of at the moment. -Wandering Shadow

Thanks for the heads up. Let me know if you think there are any other relevant boxes or links I should up there. Or you can do that by editting Template:GHWikielements. --Masamune 08:11, 27 March 2007 (MDT)

Featured Article[edit]

No problem. I'm glad you approve of my choice. --Wanderingshadow

Marth Image[edit]

I took the old image of Marth from Wikipedia. I'm glad you found a better image of him, because I didn't really like the one I found. ---Wanderingshadow

Upgrade[edit]

I made a little work of investigation and found out this: [1]. In short, the wiki is runing in version 2, the last version is 11 and is the most acurate and true to wikipedia there is right now. It allows, among a lot of other things, to add sortable lists. The page links to the downloads and the instructions to update but only a Sysop can upgrade. Hope this helps! Smash Brother 14:56, 24 September 2007 (MDT) Forgot: if you only want the code you can find it here: [2] and copy/paste it into the Monobook. Smash Brother 15:28, 24 September 2007 (MDT)

Sonic Images[edit]

I'm pretty sure they aren't from any particular game. The web site I got them from has many different characters that, I'm pretty sure, haven't appeared in a game together. I put them in Mario Bros. media because the reason we have them is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games. If you want me to move them somewhere else, just say the word. --Wanderingshadow

Rare Properties[edit]

Shouldn't you ditch the Rare property game pages to have a really good Nintendo encyclopedia? Banjo Kazooie, Conker, and specially Goldeneye, Perfect Dark and Killer Instinct don't belong. Recoil 10:54, 12 October 2007 (MDT)

Oh yeah, and while we are at it, licensed games shouldn't go too? (like Popeye)
Game pages can stay, since at the time they were Second Parties (like Eternal Darkness), but only game pages. That's why, for instance, Conker doesn't get his own character page. But otherwise, it has to stay to be a really good - complete - Nintendo encyclopedia.
As for licensed games... I'm undecided, but I'm inclined to have game pages for them since they were developed by Nintendo, but include nothing outside of that. - Masamune 11:41, 12 October 2007 (MDT)

Itadaki Street DS Images[edit]

Is there gonna be an article about Itadaki Street DS on this site? If so, there would be no need to delete the images I've uploaded, we could put them on that article maybe? Mat_rix_007 16:46 October 14th, 2007 (MDT)

Hm. It's something worth discussing. It might be worthwhile to create Third Party Games with Nintendo Characters or something of that nature for those two EA sports game, Soul Calibur II, and Itadaki Street DS.
Okay, I've already started ;) Mat_rix_007 17:15 October 14th, 2007 (MDT)
Ah, you're close, but not quite what I had in mind. I was thinking more in the context of this page: Nintendo Games on Philips CD-i. -Masamune 17:30, 14 October 2007 (MDT)
Yeah, I did an article on the characters in those games rather than make an article about the games themselves XP. That's an article that can be worked on another time I guess... -Mat_rix_007 17:36, October 14th, 2007 (MDT)

Latest Pokemon Template[edit]

So you actually liked the sprite in the infobox? heh, I tought you would hate that the infobox grew even larger. Anyway, I thought of that change moslty because recently I read that the character sprites would be different for ALL the Pokémon in Platinum. Talk about overkilling. The original idea was to make a Sprite template for all the Pokémon with Male/Female version and Front/Back with shinny variations. This is because the darn designers decided to give some monsters a little change in a detail from male to female, somtimes in the front others in the back and the idea was to add at the most 493 x 6 png sprites (at least until the nex gen) but now that numer grows to maybe 493 x 12 images! That must be a lot of space that might not be worth the effort of me uploading so many so I decided into just one. However that alters my original plans that included that the Pokedex info came after the more or less big sprite table and a more or less lenghty description of the monster thus no interfering with the Infobox. If I add the Pokedex into the first template then it should be the very first thing in the page and as the text of the Dexes is at least a line of text then it would become really big and look ugly. Mmm, what else, oh yeah, I recently lost a lot of my info, info dumps of the games mostly with the info of move lists by game code and I can't find them anywhere so I'll have to change the Move templates someday and the fact that it's a LOT of work is not helping. Anyway, I would like you to tell me more or less what you expect of the Pokepages so I can make one that the other will follow in format, I wouldn't mind adding all the stats into one template, or if you like it as it is. Just tell me how much space I can dedicate to each so I don't go crazy and start adding millions of sprites to the database. SBM 17:39, 6 August 2008 (MDT)

I don't like it that much but I agree it works. Just a personal points of view: I wouldn't like to read about the pokemon in other games before I know what it does in the original ones. After all spin-offs may change the concept of the creature. The # system in the left side looks weird, I tought that after adding the Training Info something else would have to suffer and I suppose the number system was it. I'll have to think of some other way to display that. What else, oh yeah, any chance of a wiki update in the next days? I read about some tools that I would like to try out. Anyway, I was hopeing for an answer about the format before I started doing work because it is a lot to mantain by just one person, gets frustrating and unencouraging, but as always you are the boss, boss and what you say goes. I'll wait for mid September for Platinum sprites, that will make the wiki look top notch and up to date, is it ok if I wait or are you fine with D/P sprites? SBM 14:59, 9 August 2008 (MDT)
Ok, finally, no more messing around with those templates. Just one thing, I need some others deleted. You see, I was working with a way old database that I had before getting one by codes and just added the G IV moves at the end. However, I never double checked old Generations moves and some changed their spelling. Some other where just my mistakes. And also all the Template:MXXX. I would do it myself, but no delete button you see. Sorry again for the double effort. SBM 01:21, 15 August 2008 (MDT)

Thank you for bringing back this wiki[edit]

When the wiki went down I was worried, but now it's back! I hope it's here to stay because I like this wiki. Also, I'd like to register, but it's currently closed. You can add QuestyCaptcha to prevent spambots from creating accounts. 73.140.18.141 14:35, 27 January 2021 (MST)

Thanks for the heads up. I've turned on CAPTCHA and enabled registrations again. It looks like that's built into MediaWiki now, but not enabled by default. As for the Wiki being down, that was due to it being behind on versions for the last ten years, so when my webhost updated PHP on the server, it was no longer supported and wouldn't work. Unfortunately in reinstalling the Wiki, the old theme was no longer compatible with the Wiki and my web design skills are way too rusty to put it back together. Masamune (talk) 06:17, 6 February 2021 (MST)
Also, in Vector skin, the tabs at the top scroll down. is there a way to fix this? perhaps it's something in MediaWiki:Common.css causing it? 73.140.18.141 11:12, 13 February 2021 (MST)
Furthermore, for some reason the #if: expressions don't work. see here for instance: Pokémon Masters 73.140.18.141 11:13, 13 February 2021 (MST)
It looks like ParserFunctions has to be manually turned on. I had been wondering why so many pages looked broken. I see what you mean about the tabs. I'll have to take a look at that later. Masamune (talk) 05:34, 16 February 2021 (MST)

Some pages missing[edit]

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that some of the pages that were on the old website have not been added to the wiki. Do you have a backup of them? Take this article as an example. 76.147.63.127 06:20, 23 March 2023 (MDT)
