Count Bleck is a new character introduced in Super Paper Mario, who may be the main villain for the game. After reading a prediction of the end of the universe in a book called the Dark Prognosticus, he kidnaps Princess Peach, an act that Mario and Luigi attribute to Bowser. When they head to Bowser's Castle to confront Bowser and discover the truth, Count Bleck shows up, hands Mario a beating and sends him to the world of Flipside, and kidnaps Luigi and Bowser as well. He then forces Bowser and Peach to get married, causing a rift in the time-space continuum that threatens to bring the prediction he read true. Mario then sets out to stop him, joining up with Bowser and Peach in the process.
