Lyre is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and the younger sister of Lethe.

Background

Lyre apparently had a dislike for fighting, but she eventually became a soldier in the Gallian army. She partially did so because of Ranulf, but Lyre had also enlisted in order to stay closer to her older sister Lethe, although they experienced a falling-out. Lyre eventually became part of Ranulf's unit with Kyza, whom she formed a rivalry with due to Lyre being more free-spirited while Kyza was more obedient and "stuffy". Kyza became Lyre's superior. Lyre seemed to have settled her problems with Lethe when the unit fought as part of the Laguz Alliance Army in "Part 3: Intersecting Vows" of Radiant Dawn.

Lyre was first seen in the "Kitten Smitten" base conversation of "Chapter 1: Laguz and Beorc", where Gatrie had developed a crush on her but did not seem to do anything about it for the rest of the game. She was offended by Shinon's anti-laguz remarks and picked a fight with him until Kyza broke up the argument and at first asked her to apologize, but after Shinon persisted with his insults, Kyza left with Lyre to talk it over. She then joined Mist and Lethe in disguising themselves to drug the Begnion soldiers at Mugill. When the army was ambushed by the Daein Royal Army in "Chapter 6: A Reason to Fight", Lyre broke her position to meet with Lethe on the front lines and check up on her. But when Lethe scolded her for leaving her position and ordered her to return because of the dangerous situation, Lyre became angry at Lethe.

Ranulf then offered Lyre and Kyza a Howl scroll in the "Catfight" base conversation of "Chapter 7: Rivals Collide". Lyre and Kyza argued over who should get the item, insulting each other until Ranulf decided to give it to Kyza due to his being Lyre's superior, although he then challenged her to take if from him. Then in the "Siblings" base conversation of "Chapter 8: Incandescent Glow", she made up with Lethe and gave her a Daunt scroll, although they then began to argue again when Lyre teased her by calling her scary.

After the war ended, Lyre lived free and wild in the forest, presumably leaving the army. She often told her friends the stories of the war.
