Thudley is one of the partners in Super Paper Mario, found in Chapter 3-2: Bloops Ahoy. Thudley allows Mario and co. to pound the ground after a jump, similar to the ground pound in several other Mario games. The ground pound is required to trip certain switches and does double-damage to enemies.
Thudley is discovered in a tucked-away corner of the Tile Pool while progressing to Fort Francis. After testing Mario's girth points, he agrees to follow the group. He is then needed to pound certain pegs found earlier in the pool to continue on.
