He was finally absorbed completely into the Aparoids, transforming him into a giant space monster. He was defeated by the Star Fox team and seemingly died as a result of bonding with the Aparoids.

Within ''Zero'', he appeared as a recurring boss and a member of Star Wolf. He first showed up at Area 3 to provide backup for [[Caiman]], but he retreated after taking enough damage. He later fought Star Fox at Sector β with Andrew and Leon, where they held off Star Fox long enough for Wolf to arrive. Pigma and Andrew could also potentially appear at Sector α as an optional boss. Finally, Star Wolf was faced at Venom's pocket dimension, where their Wolfen fighters transformed into Hunter mechas.

Pigma Denger is a recurring enemy within the Star Fox series who is known for his greedy and traitorous nature. He is a traitor of the original Star Fox team and a former member of Star Wolf who has spent his last two appearances in the original continuity transforming into different kinds of grotesque monsters as a result of his greed.

Background

Original Continuity

Pigma Dengar was previously a member of the original Star Fox team. When the team was sent in to investigate Andross's growing fleet, Pigma betrayed the team for money, which lead to the presumed death of James McCloud. Due to formation of a new Star Fox, Pigma joined the Star Wolf team. Years later in Star Fox 64, the Star Wolf team encountered Star Fox on Fichina while leading a fleet of Venomian ships, at which point Pigma targeted his former wingmate, Peppy Hare. Despite their advantage, the Star Wolf team was defeated. They fight again on Bolse, only to lose yet again. After most of Andross's forces had been defeated, Star Wolf arrived to defend Venom and were defeated a final time.

Afterwards, Pigma Dengar was kicked off the team because his immense greed disgusted the rest of the team. He took to flying alone and seeking out valuable items to sell for money. This led him directly into trouble with the Aparoids on Katina in Star Fox Assault. As a result, he issued a SOS that resulted in Star Fox coming to save him. He then managed to seal the Core Memory left behind by one of the Aparoids and was pursued by Star Fox afterwards, but only as he began to fall under the control of the Aparoids. He was finally absorbed completely into the Aparoids, transforming him into a giant space monster. He was defeated by the Star Fox team and seemingly died as a result of bonding with the Aparoids.

Pigma's spirit survived, however, and presumably using the remains of his monstrous self created a new form that consisted of four massive cubes. He appeared in this form in Star Fox Command. Pigma sought revenge against Star Fox, while being willing to spare or even assist Star Wolf. He was found and battled at Sector X if Falco decided to search for Krystal, or at Sector Y if Wolf stole the neutralizing device from Fox and Falco. In either scenario, he was defeated, but the attack prevented Falco (as well as Fox in the latter scenario) from participating in the attack against the Anglar empire.

Star Fox Zero

In this version of continuity, Pigma was never an official member of Star Fox. Rather, he was sent by Andross to pose as a volunteer pilot for the mission on Venom. Pigma still betrayed James and caused his disappearance.

Within Zero, he appeared as a recurring boss and a member of Star Wolf. He first showed up at Area 3 to provide backup for Caiman, but he retreated after taking enough damage.

Trivia
