Dash Bowman is a playable character from Star Fox Command. He is the young grandson of Andross and a pilot in the service of the Cornerian Defense Force.

Background[edit]

Dash was a skilled pilot in the service of the Cornerian Military. Although still relatively young, he was a capable combatant and had his own unique ship as opposed to the standard Cornerian Fighter. He was loyal to Corneia, but he also felt that his grandfather was a better person than he was remembered as. He still had hopes of being trained by legendary Star Fox pilots Falco and Fox, despite their role in his grandfather's defeat.

During the Anglar invasion, he saw action fighting off Anglars on Corneria.

Possible Fates[edit]

Two of the game's endings involved Dash gaining control of Venom and starting an empire there following the defeat of the Anglars and the purification of Venom's oceans. In "Ending 1", he became Venom's steward and led the planet into a more prosperous era.

Dash's more sinister appearance in Ending 6

In the "Ending 6" path, he traveled to Titania to gain a device that could be used to eliminate the acidity of Venom's oceans. While he was there, he received aid from Fox and Falco. Despite wanting to join them, he ended up becoming the new Emperor of Venom following the Anglar defeat. Under his rule, Venom prospered and came to equal Corneria on environmental and scientific fronts. This version of Dash ultimately followed his grandfather's example and waged war with Corneria so that Venom could control the Lylat System.

In "Ending 8", he joined the new team Star Falco with Falco and Katt, despite not appearing in that ending path at all.

Trivia[edit]

  • His design may have been based on Algy, one of the originally conceived Star Wolf members from Star Fox 2.
  • His ship is the Monkey Arrow, which has the color scheme of Star Fox's Arwings. In the ending where he joins Star Falco, he instead pilots a ship similar to Falco's Sky Claw.
