Barry is one of the partners in Super Paper Mario.  It is a circle creature with long spikes covering its circumference.  Barry will create a temporary shield of spikes around Mario and co. that damages any enemy that touches it.

-Mario and co. first encounter Barry shortly after Tippi is captured by Francis.  Though not offering to join the group, he gives them hints about how to reach Fort Francis and asks them to return if they do manage to save Tippi.  Upon completing Chapter 3, Mario and co. can return to Barry and, impressed with their abilities, he will join the party.
-Barry's card can be found on the second floor of the Flopside Outskirts.  Near the path that leads to the Pit of 100 Trials, there is a series of three holes in the floor.  Jumping into the middle hole will take Mario and co. to a room with zigzagging platforms and a chest at the bottom with the card inside.  It can be sold for 132 coins.
