Whismur is a usually quiet rabbit-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It is the first in a three-stage evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Loudred and Exploud.

Information[edit]

Whismur is a timid Pokémon that usually whispers or murmurs quietly enough that to barely be audible. However, when it senses danger, it will begin crying at an earsplitting volume that has been compared to a jet plane's volume. Hearing its own cries will also cause a Whismur to cry even harder. They also inhale through their ear canals, which allows them to continue breathing while crying continuously. Whismur stop when their ears are covered, and when they do finally stop crying, they will usually pass out due to being tired out.

It evolves into Loudred at Level 20.

Appearances[edit]

In Pokémon: Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, they appeared somewhat commonly at Route 119, are the only Pokémon appearing in Rusturf Tunnel and rarely appear at Victory Road. In Emerald, Whismur also appeared somewhat commonly at Desert Underpass.
