Vanillite is a living ice cream Pokémon resembling an ice cream cone that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first in a three-step evolutionary cycle, with its evolved forms being Vanillish and Vanilluxe.

Information[edit]

Vanillite formed from icicles bathed in energies from the morning sun. It sleeps in buried snow. Their breath has a temperature of -58 degrees Fahrenheit. Vanillite can create snow crystals and make snow fall in the areas around them. It evolves into Vanillish at Level 35.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, they commonly appeared at Cold Storage in all times of the year. During winter, they also appeared at Route 6 and outside Dragonspiral Tower.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, they were found at the glacier area of Frozen Tundra. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, a Vanillite was stuck in a cave with a hot spring within the Crag Area, and it was befriended by carrying it outside.

Other Appearances[edit]

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, a Vanillite was introduced as one of Trip's Pokémon. In another episode, Vanillite were used by Freegeoman's henchmen. They have also made other minor appearances.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Vanillite was shown among the Pokémon participating in the first Pokémon Musical.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a combination of "vanilla" (due to it being one of the most popular ice cream flavors as well as indicating its color) with "lite" (which means small or less powerful and is usually associated with foods or beverages such as ice cream).
