The Tower SP is a simulation that lets players build and run their own tower. The game takes elements from both SimTower and Yoot Tower, both of which were designed by Yoot Saito, the man behind The Tower SP.

Gameplay[edit]

The player must build a tower to satisfy their boss, Yama, as well as keep their occupants happy. The player can build offices, hotels, and condos as well as shops and restaurants. The player must earn more stars (five being the most) by increasing the population of their tower. As the tower has more stars, they unlike new things to build, such as security stations and movie theaters.

The player must also deal with various difficulties. Dirty rooms get cockroaches that need to be taken care of. Also, there will occasionally be a fire or a bomb threat. Also of importance are the occasional VIP visits.

The ultimate goal of the game is to reach the "Tower" status. To achieve this, the player must reach a population of 2,000 and have a wedding on the top of the tower, which requires a cathedral be built. This can be quite hard because the tower can only have fifty floors and only be so wide.

Reaching the Tower status with an office building opens up the more challenging option of building a "Commercial Building". Allowing only 35 floors, a commercial building can't have offices, condos, medical centers, security offices, or recycling centers. However, it does allow three cinemas, a spa, and a hotel suite.

Legacy[edit]

A few years later, The Tower DS came out in Japan. This version was later split up into 3 separate DSiWare releases.
