Solosis is a type of living cell Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first in a three-stage evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Duosion and Reuniclus.

Information[edit]

Solosis is a Pokémon whose body is encased within a special liquid which makes it capable of surviving in any environment. They possess psychic powers which they use to drive away enemies. Solosis also uses its psychic powers to communicate amongst its own species. It evolves into Duosion at Level 32.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: White Version, Solosis could be commonly found at Routes 5 and 16.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Solosis was found at the tower areas of Soothing Shoe and Firebreathing Mountain. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, a Solosis appeared at the Scientorium in the Tech Area and could be befriended by completing a quiz.

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, Solosis was first shown in one episode of the Unova series as the main Pokémon of a trainer named Doyle, and he used it to try to find the missing Audino. It also played a role in the fourteenth movie, where multiple Solosis and Duosion acted as power sources for the Vale castle.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Solosis made a small appearance during the Black/White arc amongst other Pokémon participating in a Pokémon Musical.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name is a combination of "solo" (due to it having one brain in opposition with its evolution) with "mitosis" (which is the type of cell division that its brain undergoes in evolution).
