Sharpedo is a savage and compact shark-like Pokémon that was introduced in the third generation games. It is the evolved form of Carvanha.

Information[edit]

Sharpedo evolves from Carvanha at Level 30. It is a vicious Pokémon that is usually compared to a gangster or a bandit of the sea, and it is also known as "the bully of the sea". Sharpedo can swim at speeds of seventy-five miles per hour by jetting seawater through its body. Its skin is specially textured to minimize drag in water. Sharpdo's main drawback is that it is not able to swim long distances. It has fangs that can rip through sheet iron, and Sharpedo's fangs grow back if snapped off. A single Sharpedo is capable of tearing apart a supertanker.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald Versions, Sharpedo could be commonly fished with the Super Rod at Routes 103, 118, 122, 124, 125, 126, 127, 129, 130, 131, 132, 133 and 134, Mossdeep City and Pacifidlog Town. In Diamond and Pearl, it could be rarely fished with the Super Rod at Routes 213 and 222. In Black and White, it had a rare chance of appearing when fishing in rippling water at the Village Bridge.

Other Games[edit]

It could only be obtained through evolution in Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, and in Pinball a Sharpedo also appeared as part of the Ruby Field's table which could activate Catch 'Em All mode. In Pokémon Trozei!, it was found at Endless Level 55, Endless Level 71, Forever Level 5 and Mr. Who's Den. In Pokémon Ranger, it was found at Safra Sea. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, it could be recruited at Miracle Sea. In Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia]], it appeared at Puel Sea and Sea of Wailord. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, it was found at Coral Sea. Sharpedo also appeared in PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure at the Beach Zone.

Other Appearances[edit]
