Pawniard is a short metallic bladed Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Bisharp.

Information[edit]

Pawniard's entire body is comprised of blades. They cling to their prey and inflict damage by sinking their blades into the prey's bodies. If the blades are dulled by battle, Pawniard will often sharpen them on stones by a river. They always fight at the command of their evolved form, Bisharp. Pawniard evolves into Bisharp at Level 52.

Appearances[edit]

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Pawniard could be found uncommonly at Route 9 and rarely at Route 11.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name seems to be a combination of "pawn" (as in the chess piece, matching Bisharp's bishop) and "poignard" (a type of dagger).
