Online Tournaments in Mario Kart Wii

1st Tournament

From May 1st to May 10th 2008.

Players competed in an awfully obstaculised version of Mario Circuit against 11 computer opponents. Giant Chain Chomps going around the track in opposite direction and Goombas all over the track where obstacles for players.

2nd Tournament

From May 15th to May 25th 2008.

Set in the GBA Battle Course 3, players had to pass through 10 gates in a given order. After passing one the next appears. First tournament to be for Wii Wheel only.

3rd Tournament

From June 1st to June 10th 2008.

First Boss Battle Tournament, players compete for the quickest time to knock down a giant Spiky Topmen from Super Mario Galaxy out of a circular arena using Mushroom boosts.

4th Tournament

From June 15th to June 25th 2008.

A solo race in Mushroom Gorge but in opposite direction. Some ramps where added to allow players to use the giant Mushrooms from the bottom to top.

5th Tournament

From July 1st to July 10th 2008.

A closed area of Coconut Mall is the setting for this tournament in which the players had to get 50 coins in any order.

6th Tournament

From July 15th to July 25th 2008.

DS Twilight House turned into a more or less round circuit hosted a race between 11 computer opponents and the player. The race lasted 5 laps and items where available. Second tournament to be for Wii Wheel only.

7th Tournament

From August 1st to August 10th 2008.

Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong aboard of bikes throw Bananas at the player in N64 DK's Jungle Parkway.

8th Tournament

From August 15th to August 25th 2008.

Players attempt the best lap time on Koopa Cape in a solo race with 25 gates that must be cleared in a given order.
