Minccino is a small chinchilla-like Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Cinccino.

Information[edit]

Minccino are a Pokémon known for their clean nature, and because of this they prefer to live in tidy habitats. They will often use their tails as brooms in order to sweep and dust their surroundings clean. Minccino also ensure that their tails are always keep well groomed, as multiple Minccino greet each other by rubbing each other with their tails.

It evolves into a Cinccino when exposed to a Shiny Stone.

Mainstream Games[edit]

In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Minccino were uncommonly found at Routes 5, 9 and 16 and by Cold Storage.

Other Games[edit]

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Minccino were found at the meadow areas of Trailhead Field, Seabreeze Field and World Axle's first basement floor. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Minccino resided at the Cove Town, where it liked to clean up and could be befriended through by catching Trubbish, and the Minccino could similarly be chased.

Other Media[edit]

  • In the Pokémon anime, Minccino was featured in one episode of the Unova series where it stole Ash's badge case. Bianca wound up catching it by the end of the episode. Other Minccino have made more minor appearances.
  • In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Mincinno was featured as Professor Juniper's Pokémon during the Black/White arc. She usually utilized it to clean up messes, such as those caused by Snivy, Tepig and Oshawott during their fights.

Trivia[edit]

  • Its name seems to be a combination of "mink" (a furry animal which reflects its evolved form's association with fur) or "mini" with "chino" (a type of cloth).
