Midia is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi, as well as the remakes Monshou no Nazo and Shadow Dragon. She is also playable in Part 1 of BS Fire Emblem: Akaneia Senki.
Background[edit]
Midia was a powerful knight who was the daughter of Duke Owen, one of Archanea's most influential nobleman. She was also madly in love with fellow knight Astram and also was a close friend of Princess Nyna, whom she personally protected.
BS Fire Emblem[edit]
When the War of Darkness broke out, Midia's father was betrayed and killed by other noblemen whom had turned traitor. When the Millennial Palace was invaded by General Camus's men, Midia and her soldiers were assigned to protect Nyna and with Boah to help her escape. Midia attempted to battle Camus, but she was defeated by him and criticized at the same time by him for not following the honor of a knight, although she then called him a hypocrite. After Nyna was forced to surrender, Midia and Boah were imprisoned together within the palace.
Book One[edit]
Midia and Boah, still imprisoned within the palace, gained hope when they learned of Marth's arrival in Chapter 12 (10 SNES). After being freed, Midia became part of Marth's army. She also was able to recruit Astram to their side son afterwards. After the war ended, Midia remained with the Archanean knights in order to honor Princess Nyna's request, eventually being named its captain. However, she eventually retired in order to live peacefully with Astram.
Book Two[edit]
However, over the next three years the people suffered under the corrupted Hardin's rule. Midia could not stand the people's suffering, so she eventually formed a rebellion. But the rebellion failed, at which point Midia was captured and set for an eventual execution. In Chapter 20, Hardin berated her for betraying him and taunted her by talking about his plans to kill Marth, while Midia attempted in vain to open Hardin's eyes to what he was doing. As Marth's men stormed the castle, Midia then joined with them for the final battles. After the war ended, she became part of Archanea's free knights along with Astram. The two finally married soon afterwards.
