Kirby's Different Forms

From Gamehiker Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

These are different forms that Kirby can assume throughout the Kirby series. A majority of them are the result of Kirby's Copy abilities, which were introduced in Kirby's Adventure. With Copy Abilities, Kirby gains a new ability based on the enemy he swallowed. He did not physically transform during this process in Dream Land, but most games since Super Star have given Kirby actual physical changes with his abilities. While these usually consist of simply gaining new headwear related to the ability, some forms can also change his physical features or skin tone or completely transform him.

Animal Kirby[edit]

  • Animal - Kirby wears a fur coat and claws in this transformation. Using his new claws, Kirby can dig and slash enemies.

These are a pair of similar powers/forms that are both gained from swallowing Bugzzy (although the Suplex power can also be gained from Jukid in Super Star and Phan Phan in Super Star Ultra) and involve Kirby using wrestling moves to throw opponents. When used, Kirby will lunge or dash an opponent, and that opponent can be thrown or slammed in a variety of ways depending on the direction entered by the player or other buttons pressed. Suplex has a wider variety of moves than Backdrop and also allows Kirby to perform a drop kick.
