The Goolix is a little-known creature made of water.

Information

The Goolix is a rare boss in Pikmin; it will only appear at the Impact Site on odd-days. The membrane that surrounds its nuclei holds the same properties as water, meaning that most creatures will drown if they are sucked into it (i.e. red and yellow pikmin). If a creature tries to escape the membrane, the Goolix will use its secondary nucleus (the white one) to paralyze or kill said creature until it can be fully absorbed.

The Goolix's primary nucleus is blue and shiny, and possesses the creature's nervous system; this is also its only weak point. If the primary nucleus is destroyed, the secondary nucleus will also die, and the Goolix's membrane will decompose into water.

Trivia

• While Goolix themselves will disappear after being killed, they usually leave pellets behind.
• Goolix are one of five creatures in Pikmin that did not reappear in Pikmin 2. The other four are Armored Cannon Beetles, Pearly Clamclamps, Puffstools, and Smoky Proggs.
• Goolix were originally going to be found in the Forest Navel, but this was taken out.
