Gabby Jay is a boxer appearing as an opponent in the Punch-Out!! games.
Background[edit]
Gabby originally was a waiter working at a cafe near the Eiffel Tower. However, one day "something snapped" which lead to him spontaneously seeking to become a boxer. He learned from the Glass Joe School of Boxing and graduated by knocking out Glass Joe in a boxing match, which led to him entering the professional circuit. However, he was so weak that his defeat of Glass Joe remained his only victory compared to 99 losses throughout his career (and counting).
In Super Punch-Out!! he is ranked #3 in the Minor Circuit and is the first opponent to be battled in the game. He is also somewhat flamboyant and will often shout out an effeminate "Yay!". His punches are released somewhat slowly, and he is easily defeated.

- He serves as a replacement for Glass Joe, due to having the same nationality as well as being shown as being only slightly stronger than Glass Joe.
- Bob Charlie is his palette swap.
