Flurries are small, snowmen-like creatures composed of snow who attack other creatures by skating into them. Flurries first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 2, in World 4-1, World 4-2 and World 4-3. Like most enemies, Flurries could be picked-up and thrown at other creatures, though picking-up Flurries can be difficult, as they are usually found on slippery ice.

In Super Princess Peach, several Flurries can be seen dancing in the background of Gleam Glacier's World Map; aside from this cameo appearance, Flurries appear nowhere else in Super Princess Peach.

Trivia

• Flurries made occasional appearances in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show!, where they minions of King Koopa and were capable of speaking, despite not having mouths. Flurries also made appearances in issues of Nintendo Comics System and a single Flurry was seen amoung the attendees to Bowser's to a brainwashed Princess Toadstool in Nintendo Power's Super Mario Adventures comic.
