Darros is a playable unit appearing in Fire Emblem: Ankoku Ryuu to Hikari no Tsurugi and its remake Shadow Dragon and is the first recruitable Pirate in the game.

Background

Darros was a pirate who described himself as a simple man of the sea. He was once part of a pirate crew based in Galder. However, he had his fill of the pirate life and was ready to start a new life. If Marth spoke to him in Chapter 2 (he would also automatically speak to Marth rather than attacking him if he was in his range), he would agree to join with the Altean army. After the war ended, it was said that he returned to the sea in a carefree manner. It also mentioned that he left Archanea's shores for the last time, implying that he did not return from his journey.

Trivia

• Darros was cut out of the sequel/remake Monshou no Nazo, which is probably why Shadow Dragon suggests that he never returned from his sea voyage.
• In Shadow Dragon, he receives Support Bonuses from Marth and Caeda.
