Cremia is a supporting character appearing in The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. She is the Terminian counterpart of Malon's adult self from Ocarina of Time, while her younger sister Romani is the counterpart of Malon's child self from the same game.

Background

After the death of her father, Cremia was left to watch over her younger sister Cremia as well as maintain the family ranch, Romani Ranch. She considered the Romani-bred cows an inheritance of the heavens, as the milk made from the cows were used for business to make Chateau Romani, which helped to keep their business thriving. However, they faced some problems from the Gorman Brothers, who would smash their milk bottles and secretly steal their cows, although Cremia seemed unaware that they were responsible for these mysterious events.

Cremia was best friends with Anju in Clock Town. However, it is also implied that Cremia has feelings for Anju's fiancee, Kafei, which makes coming to town difficult for her. However, she still offers Anju's family refuge at the farm. She also concerned for her sister, who was training for a bow to battle what she described as "ghosts" that stole the cows every year (although they were actually Garo Robes sent by the Gorman Brothers). During the three-day timeframe of the game, the ranch faces problems from a boulder on Milk Road placed by the Skull Kid which prevents them from making a delivery to Clock Town in time for the Carnival of Time, as well as an attack by the Garo Robes that if not prevented results in the cows being taken and Romani losing part of her memory.

However, if Link is able to destroy the boulder on the first day and then protect the ranch from the invaders on the first night, then Cremia will prepare to make a shipment to Clock Town the next day and invites Link to come along, being unaware of the battle with the Garo Robes that had occurred the previous night. During the carriage ride, they wound up being sidetracked into going through the Gorman Brothers racetrack (which Cremia described as "ugly country"), and the Gorman Brothers attacked while wearing masks in an attempt to destroy the milk shipment. However, if Link was able to hold them off long enough, they soon arrived safely in Clock Town with a shipment for the Milk Bar.

Cremia rewarded Link by giving him Romani's Mask, which was her way of acknowledging him as an adult. In later cycles, she would either reward Link with Rupees or a hug. Afterwards, she could be seen treating Romani to Chateau Romani on the last day, finally acknowledging her as an adult.

Trivia

• Cremia is the name of a real-life Italian town, although it seems to be used as her name due to being a play on "cream".
• Anju's mother suspects that Kafei's disappearance is due to an affair with Cremia, saying that Cremia needs a partner and the support that Madame Aroma could provide, although this accusation is ultimately false once the truth of Kafei's disappearance becomes evident, despite Cremia's feelings for Kafei.
