Wizpig is a pig-like alien and a giant by Earth standards who just loves to race- but only when he wins. He possesses great magical powers and will do anything within his power to win.

Background

Wizpig started on his home planet, turning it into the amusement park known as Future Fun Land, but he soon got bored and started wandering the galaxy. Wizpig wandered from planet to planet, taking them over and continuosly racing and cheating to win until he got bored again and moved on to the next planet.

This pattern eventually brought Wizpig to take over Timber's Island, a whole island full of racers, in Diddy Kong Racing. He imprisoned most of the island's inhabitants, took over the mountain and kicked out Taj the genie, then hypnotised four of the island's best racers into becoming his lieutenants. He gave each underling a quarter of the Wizpig Amulet, which when united would open the path to his lair. And he turned Drumstick into a frog when he challenged Wizpig to a fair race.

But eventually the Wizpig Amulet was assembled by a crew of young racers led by Diddy Kong and Timber. They chose their best racer to race Wizpig through a canyon. In this first race Wizpig ran on foot and flew for some distances. After being defeated, Wizpig fled the island to Future Fun Land to plan a next attack. But the racers followed him. Wizpig only allowed the racers to challenge him to a rematch after they completed all the courses once and then completed them again with the Silver Coin Challenge.

Wizpig rode a rocket in the final race. Af6ter losing again, his rocket veered offcourse and crashed into a planetoid, resulting in Wizpig's supposed death. However, in the ending he was hinted at being alive in a spaceship shaped like his head.

Trivia

• He is somewhat similar to Tatanga in that both are alien invaders with hypnotic powers who drop in out of the blue.
• Wizpig might have been planned to appear in either Donkey Kong Racing or Diddy Kong Pilot prior to both being cancelled, especially since Diddy Kong Racing's ending involved Wizpig returning again.
