The '''Wii Fit Trainer''' is a character featured in the ''[[Wii Fit]]'' series. The player can choose between a male or female trainer, and their essential role in the game is to teach players the yoga poses to emulate. The Wii Fit Trainers appear to be human, but they are depicted with mannequin-like features.

=Super Smash Bros.=

In ''[[Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U]]'' and ''[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]]'', the Wii Fit Trainer is featured as a playable character. The female version is the 'default' choice, but the male version is also playable through the Wii Fit Trainer's alternate costumes. The trainer's moveset involves a number of kicks and physical attacks, as well as striking a number of yoga poses, often with special effects. In ''Ultimate'', both versions of the Trainer were redesigned to have clearer facial features. 

Although they were part of the starting cast in their initial appearance, in ''Ultimate'' they could be unlocked through the game's variable-based system for unlocking character or by awakening the Wii Fit Trainer in Adventure Mode. In the game's Classic Mode, the Wii Fit Trainer's route was called "Aerobic Smash" and followed a theme of battling rotund fighters, with [[Mario#Dr._Mario|Dr. Mario]] acting as a partner for one match.

In "World of Light", the Adventure Mode of ''Ultimate'', the female Wii Fit Trainer was seen during the opening cutscene among the forces that assembled to confront [[Galeem]] and his [[Master Hand]] army. When Galeem unleashed his beams of light, the Wii Fit Trainer was seen responding by assuming the Tree pose. She held the pose as she was overtaken by the light. Like all of the other fighters (save for [[Kirby]], who escaped), Wii Fit Trainer fell under Galeem's control. She could later be found within the city area. By defeating her in battle, she could be awakened as her true self and be recruited into the playable roser.

==Trophies/Spirits==

In 3DS/Wii U installment, the Wii Fit Trainer has two standard unlockable trophies, one of which is of the female trainer, while the alternate trophy depicts the male trainer. There are also eight other trophies available in both games which depict one of the Trainers acting out specific yoga poses or exercises. These trophies are: Warrior, Gate, Super Hoop, Bridge, Jackknife, Dancer, Arm & Left Lift and Tree. Finally, the Wii U version features a trophy for the Wii Fit Trainer's Final Smash as well as a Wii Fit U Trainer trophy.

In ''Ultimate'', the Wii Fit Trainer has two Fighter [[Spirit|Spirits]], one for each of the genders. The female one is unlocked upon completion of Classic Mode with either gender, and they can also be bought at the Vault's store. They are also featured in Support Spirits for various poses: Jackknife, Deep Breathing, Sun Salution, Tree, Dancer, Warrior and Arm & Leg Lift.

=Abilities=

*'''Standard Special Move: Sun Salutation''' - The Trainer assumes the sun salutation yoga position and charges up a ball of energy, which can then be fired as a projectile. It sometimes heals 1 percent of the trainer's health when fired with a full charge.
*'''Side Special Move: Header'''- With this episode, the Wii Fit Trainer headbutts a green soccer ball into the ground. Either the headbutt or the ball could do damage if hitting an opponent. The soccer ball itself appears only when this move is being used and it will disappear after bouncing off of the ground.
*'''Up Special Move: Super Hoop''' - This is an aerial attack in which the trainer produces three hula hoops around her body and rises into the air while spinning them around her, doing damage to those whom she contacts.
*'''Down Special Move:  Deep Breathing''' - This move has the Wii Fit Trainer practicing deep breathing, represented through two circles. When the circles are overlapped, the button must be pressed in order to temporarily raise the power of the trainer's attacks.
