Wii Fit is a Nintendo Wii game oriented on promoting fitness through interactive gameplay. The game comes with the Wii Balance Board, which is used to play the game.

Gameplay[edit]

Wii Play uses the player's Miis as characters. The board measures the player's Body Mass Index and center of gravity. Over time, the game measures player's "Wii Fitness Age" and lets them compare with those of other family members.

The game helps players stay fit with over forty activities. Among the activities are yoga poses, jogging, step aerobics, press ups, ski jumping, and hula hooping.

Legacy[edit]

This game was very popular and was the third best-selling game of 2008 in both America and Japan. Wii Fit has spawned follow-ups on the Wii and Wii U.

Additionally, within other Nintendo games, the game has received representation in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U. The Wii Fit Trainer is included as a playable character, and the Wii U installment includes a stage based on the game called Wii Fit Studio.

Sequels[edit]

It was later followed by Wii Fit Plus, which has the same features as the first game with additional Yoga, Strength Training and Balance/Aerobics exercises.
