'''First Appearance:''' ''Bayonetta'' (2009)

Rodin is a supporting character and from the ''Bayonetta'' series. He is a powerful demon and fallen angel who runs a bar called the Gates of Hell. He forges weapons from the souls of other demons, acting as the resident shopkeeper and weapon smith in the games. He created Bayonetta's guns and works with her often. In both games, it is also possible to fight him as a hidden boss, and he is also playable in the Tag Climax mode of ''Bayonetta 2''.

In the ''Super Smash Bros.'' games, Rodin was featured as an Assist Trophy in ''Ultimate''. He attacks by summoning a giant fist or performing a sliding kick, similar to Bayonetta's moves. He may also throw a random item to whoever summoned him. He first appeared as a trophy in ''Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U'' (unlocked automatically when Bayonetta was downloaded) and also appeared as a two-stage Primary Spirit in ''Ultimate''. There was an Ace-rank Spirit of his normal self which could be upgraded into a Legend-rank Spirit of Rodin, the Infinite One, which was of his demonic form and raised the user's attack when their health was critical
